Bergie's Fish Cafe - Thirroul

Went to Bergies Friday for dinner while staying at austinmer. Pleasantly surprised. The meals were generous, service was prompt & friendly & great wine & beer selection.

This is the sort of place that relies on tourists because the locals know its not good. Other reviews are dubious. Tasteless food. Oil needs changing because it left us feeling ill. Will not go back. New management just as bad as last

Fresh and tasty food. Fabulous burgers (the tasty as burger is just divine). Great friendly staff. Nice place to relax near Thirroul's beach. Highly recommended !

Have just started going back there after nearly a year. New management and definitely back to normal. Fish was very well cooked and they are trying new specials, which is always good for a local. Will be back.

We had take away fish and chips, however the eating area looked like a good place to sit and relax. Servings were generous and was all freshly cooked. However, the fish and chips were slightly overcooked.
