But not because of what I just said but how authentic and superb the food was. It was funny that we kept ordering everything on the menu because it also is cooked and served in the actual beautiful sauce pans Chef makes it in. OMG so good I took the Foul and Toubouli and what my husband ordered home and couldnât wait til lunch as it was so good even as left overs with the spices. The presentation on the veggie plate was beautiful and now they also have an incredible wine list since we called and that day they just got their license. This place has my heart cuz it has everything on the menu that a person could want but served with the beat bread ever too. I could get on, but just glad ur here. Oh...dessert, so my man ordered dessert and it was fried creme baclava and she said, it will be ten minutes as we make this to order with rose water. Who does this anymore! Bravo.
Iâm a big fan of Lebanese food from years spent calling on Toledo accounts. Toledo is the US home to Lebanese cuisine in my mind and Byblos is right at the top. Food-wise, Maryâz reminded me of Byblos. Hummus was outstanding, falafel sandwich included Lebanese pickle and radish, as Iâve come to like it. Taboulah was more tomato and citrus than barely and parsley, yum. The pitas were a bit wimpy but thatâs a nitpick. They were supposed to allow bringing in wine with a corkage which we did, bringing in a fine bottle of aged Turley Petite Syrah. But I noticed others bringing in or bottles of fighting varietals and it made sense when they didnât charge the corkage. Those folks were taking advantage of the fact that they hadnât been charging corkage during the time when their wine and beer license was being approved. That happened last week and these folks either didnât know or didnât care so they brought in their two-buck Chuck despite there being multiple bottles of fairly priced, similar wines on the menu. Then I heard the manager was going to stop letting people bring in wine. No!!!! Fools abusing a corkage policy in-flux by bringing in wines is just ruining it for the people who have cellars and donât mind paying corkage to have the privilege of using their cellar in this crazy state which forbids corkage when a full-liquor license is granted, even if the proprietor is okay with it. I hope Maryâz doesnât go the no outside wine route. Rant aside, we will certainly return. I give it thumbs up. Llama Cafe may be looking at hard times with Maryâz down the street.
Excellent food. Best restaurant (type of food) in The Woodlands.
Maryâz is so, so good. The food is fresh, clean and amazingly delicious. Since being Introduced to Maryâz by a friend, we just canât get enough. Have made serval visits and had a business dinner at this fantastic restaurant. The service is so good, restaurant is clean and inviting, and as noted, the food is delicious. The Hummus is the best Iâve ever had. Order the samplers and enjoy the various bites to quickly get an Intro to their food. If you like eggplant, do yourself a favor and order the Eggplant Extravaganza! Ridiculously good. Donât leave without a coffee and dessert. The cream filled baklavaâs out of this world. Love this place.
Dined here on a Saturday night and cannot figure out why it was a ghost town. THE GOOD: the waiter, the fresh fruit juices, the hummus, the beef grape leaves, the mixed shawarma entree, and the baklava; THE MEDIOCRE: N/A; THE BAD: N/A
