The fajita dishes are great, but their menu also offers some clever twists on typical Tex Mex and bar food dishes that will keep us coming back. They also pay attention to the details, from the sauces, to the awesome tortillas, to the rices and beans nothing comes off as an extraneous. We 've been here twice, and the waitstaff has been on point. Keep up the good work!
My wife and I came here on a whim when we were on that side of town. We definitely were glad to have done so! Jose was our waiter, and he was fantastic! The chips and salsa were great. They also had a small dipping cup of a sweet pineapple salsa which was wonderful! The red salsa had a good flavor with medium heat, and the green salsa was a puree type salsa that was good and hot. The beef fajitas were very good. They come with rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, and shredded cheese by default. It's nice to get all these sides with fajitas and not have to ask for them! The manager (I don't recall his name came by to ask us how it was and if we had any comments to help improve the restaurant. He mentioned the craft beers they have on tap, including beers from Karbach, Southern Star, and Deep Ellum. Even though it's a bit of a drive for us, we will definitely be back! The only less than positive comment I'd make is that it was quite cold and the a/c was blowing right on us. But, that will be a welcome relief in about a month.
Great food after a movie! The food was delicious. The beer selection was good. My wife has food allergies and they actually pulled out the cookbook to make sure the food was safe. We ended up getting the Pollo Loco which had chicken wrapped in bacon stuffed with cheese and a green pepper and corn tortillas and Mexican Rice. it was amazeballs! Our server Feebz was outstanding! Can't wait to come back!
I don't usually eat Mexican, but I think that might be about to change. The food here was delicious, everything cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The prices aren't too bad for the area, service is a little slow, but those aren't deal breakers for me. I will definitely be back. The outdoor dining area is nice and cozy, with 7 tables. Interior decor is modern and trendy, with a bar and a few TV's. Overall a positive visit.
Went to La Cantina Mexican Grill Woodlands for a late lunch... Started with the House made Queso with Chorizo, which was excellent! House Frozen Margaritas were great also. We split the Botana Platter which was a phenomenal, delicious and a great value. The ultimate appetizer platter with fajita beef chicken combo nachos on housemade tortilla chips, beef chicken quesadillas, fried seasoned pork tamales bites topped with chile con queso, cilantro lime salsa and pico, and season chicken flautas... All served with pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole. This really was a perfect platter of goodness! The kid got chicken quesadillas kids meal. Service was great too! Glad we went, we haven't been since they moved to the Woodlands from Willowbrook.
