Costa Coffee - The Vale of Glamorgan

The restaurant has a fantastic ambiance, with welcoming and friendly staff who make you feel right at home. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy good company.

As title suggests. Staff walk by and leave dirty tables. No one in charge. And many school children just sitting around. Thought I was in their school hall!

We were extremely disappointed with the service at this restaurant. The staff seemed uninterested and slow. In the middle of serving us, our server began asking the next table about their order, which we found to be very rude. We only ordered 4 items - 2 coffees and 2 food items - but had to remind them twice about the cake we had ordered. There was no apology for the oversight. It will be a while before we consider returning to this establishment.

We visited this restaurant today and were informed that it is a government requirement to show identification for track and trace purposes. Since we did not have smartphones, the details were written on a scrap of paper. In comparison, other customers had their information recorded on their till receipts and were treated politely.

Visited Saturday 14th November 2020. Walked in to the coffee shop alone to see if there were any tables free for myself, wife and daughter. Was shouted at by a member of staff to get out of the shop. No signage up of the process to be seated at a table, or signs to wait outside to be seated. Very rude behaviour from said staff member, needless to say we went elsewhere. Understand the challenging times but there is no need to treat customers in such a manner.
