Spanky's - The Energy Corridor, Houston

It was good but not something I'd recommend. I ordered chicken parm and I had almost no sauce just cheese. I was not a happy camper. Service was great.

I went into Spanky's on a Sunday night before closing for a late family dinner. To keep a long story short Parking: Barely enough spaces for the workers and 2 other occupied tables in the joint. Keep in mind this was an hour before closing on a Sunday. The parking lot is very cramped and there's only one way in/out. Service: Our server was Michael Angel; this guy is 5/5, honest, funny, and a great waiter. If management sees this, give that man a raise! The kitchen is a little slow, but since they were probably closing up when I showed, I'll give it some slack. I left promptly at 10 pm. Food: I ordered the 13 New York Hawaiin pizza for a party of 3. As soon as a slice is lifted from the tray, literally all the cheese and toppings rushed off the slice. The dough is very soft and the ham chunks are ridiculous in size. A fork and knife is needed to eat the pizza. I took one look at it and ordered the lasanga instead; much better.Ambiance: Not much to say, really. Spanky's is your typical family friendly pizza chain with knick knacks all over the wall and a typical Food Network remodel style. The music is good and not too loud. The tables are eating area are well kept. It seems clean enough. Not bad overall.

The inside of this location is very bright and welcoming. Unlike the other location, it feels less like a sports bar and more of a family friendly restaurant. We ordered the fried mushrooms and meatballs as appetizers. The spaghetti and meatballs and chicken alfredo pizza (stuffed crust) were our entrees. Everything was tasty and fresh but the mushrooms were BANGIN.Service was friendly but not as quick as I would prefer.

They have such a great selection. My girlfriend loves this place! Definitely great comfort food!

The French fries are excellent, and the drinks are enjoyable as well. However, the cheese on the pizza resembles imitation cheese and tastes similar; it was almost too much to handle.
