La Taquiza

Awesome spread of authentic Mexican food! Love the vibe of the restaurant with the open atrium and mariachi band. Spoke to Oscar, the owner, was very nice and gave us a great description of some of their dishes. We enjoyed each of the dish and the fresh juices were so good! We will definitely return!

SUNDAY BRUNCH was an awesome experience. The setting is in an open dining area in a modern business building. But the food takes you back to the middle of downtown Mexico City!! If you love Delicious Destinations hosted make Andrew Zimern, you’ll love this place. Great variety of authentic spices sauces dishes and desserts. Love the variety of fresh juices also. Please come here is you love authentic food in Houston!!

Understory is cool in general but these tacos really round out the vibe down here. Service is always great and the food is the real star. I love their breakfast tacos and I’m also a fan of their lunch items. I’m pretty much a regular at this point but if you find your self near the understory for breakfast or lunch, give “La taquiza” a shot. You won’t be disappointed

This is hands down the absolute BEST, AUTHENTIC, Mexican buffet in Houston. Everything was sooooo good, I couldn’t get enough. I love that they had all my Mexican favorites to finish off, which was arroz con leche, churros, and conchas. I highly recommend. The staff, super on top of the service, since it gets crazy busy, are still super kind, ask you if you need anything, in case you look lost, and just amazing. It’s definitely a Sunday favorite and our new go to!
