These so-called restaurants in this facility share a kitchen and do not abide by their hours. Extremely unprofessional and frustrating for the customers! Also it is in a terrible part of town with homeless people constantly bothering and begging you for money. Also phat kitchen wasn't on the list and the guy there said they weren't open even though on Yelp it says they are. I'm furious! Quit being cheap asses and either buy a food truck or rent a space and have a real restaurant!
Wow, what a meal. My family traveled to Singapore last year and thoroughly enjoyed all the food. We miss the flavors and choices from the hawkers. A friend who worked in Singapore for years told me about Phat Kitchen. Immediately we ordered from them. Laksa, curries, spring rolls, roti it was all great. The food brought back memories of a great family trip. Thank you Phat Kitchen. There customer service was even better. I had a perceived problem the order, turns out no problem. The owner called me that night after sending them an e-mail. We had barely started our meal when I got the call. She was checking on our order and sorted out the perceived problem. Not many restaurants pull great food and great service together. Highly recommend.
We had a good variety from this place, and no dish was a miss. Dim sum platter: All 4 offerings were fantastic. I personally am not a fan of the sticky rice meat, but that's really a personal thing. The other 3 dumplings were fantastic, juicy, fresh, and extremely flavorful. Crab Rangoon: The sauce was not too sweet/overpowering, and really let the insides shine. We had our food 20 minutes after picking it up, and they were still crispy. The rangoons were slightly larger than usual, so it was very satisfying. Really enjoyed these. Char Siu Xiu Mai Meatball with au Jus: This was our favorite banh mi. Everything in it was perfectly weighted in flavor, meshed really well, and was just an all around excellent sandwich. The au jus was very complimentary. You can't go wrong with this. Pho-rench Dip with Beef Bone Broth: If you like pho, you'll love this. The brisket was very well spiced without being over bearing. The dipping sauce was very reminiscent of pho. Really solid sandwich. Some notes about the banh mi. When we first opened our sandwiches, we were disappointed by the amount of bread to filling ratio. But once you dip it into the broths, it's clear why. Really happy with our experience here. We had a small delivery mishap, but the team at Phat Kitchen were super nice and apologetic (also, it wasn't their fault at all). We'll definitely be back next time we're in Houston!
I've always heard colleagues rave about Phat Eatery but didn't realize how good the food was until I tried this inside loop location. My tastebuds were overwhelmed with the flavours exploding in my mouth after each bite! What we ate: roti taco, curry chicken, curry laksa. Beyond amazing. Portions were just right. In fact, the curry laksa was almost too filling!
Great food but very pricey. We ordered a roti canai, beef penang, and a dim sum platter. We were only half way (2 people) full due to the small portion. And the total cost of the order was almost $40. Overall the food quality is good.
