5411 Empanadas

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The empanadas were fantastic - flavorful and not greasy or dry. I thought the pricing was very reasonable for the location as well.

I ordered delivery from this restaurant and chose the $16 lunch combo, which was supposed to come with a drink or chips. I selected a drink, but I was only given water as there was no option to choose a specific drink. I felt a bit cheated since it cost me an extra $4 almost. I ordered the mac n cheese, egg/chorizo/bean, and bacon/dates/goat cheese empanadas. The mac n cheese and egg empanadas were bland, dry, and small. The bacon goat cheese empanada was good, earning an extra star from me. The chimichurri was also tasty, but I am a fan of cilantro in anything. Overall, this restaurant just doesn't measure up to a good Colombian or Venezuelan empanada shop. What a shame.
