Avocado Ha Long - Thanh Pho Ha Long

Thank you very much for the fantastic food and emotions. From all the experiences in Ha Long bay restaurants Avocado was our favorite and we went there twice, since the Pomelo salad, fresh spring rolls and Pina Colada were so magnificient!

The food was very good and staff are prepared to customize certain portions for hungry foreigners (at a charge naturally). However, Schweppes soda water 50K Dong per can !?? Really guys?? It costs 5,700 in a store, and I paid at MOST 25K Dong at other good restaurants in Hoi An etc...but 50K is a bit excessive. It's only carbonated water after all, unless I missed something somewhere? I was forced to buy 4 cans for home after our meal as the retail shops like Vinmart were closing at 10pm and I wouldn't make it in time, but please guys, have a look at this price. I'm all for good business and as an international traveler you expect to pay more for goods at airports, fancy restaurants etc...I really get that, but there's a fine line between making a good profit and feeling a bit taken advantage of. 200K at the restaurant 4 tins of Soda. Elsewhere 33 cans for 200K. Otherwise, very good food and will be back.

We had such a great experience at Avocado I can not recommend it enough. The area itself it’s in is beautiful and the inside is equally so. The staff were friendly and so helpful, the food was absolutely brilliant. The amount of choice and quality of the meat and seafood is one of the best we have had in all of Vietnam so far!
