King May - Thanet

I order Chinese food at least once a week, and this is hands-down the best Chinese takeout in the area. The food is so good that they don't even need to offer free delivery. May, the lady who runs the place, is very helpful and accommodating. I always request no onions in my dishes, and she is always friendly about it. I would rate this place 10/10 every day.

May used to be fantastic and the food was stunning. However, today the chicken satay was watery and tasteless with no peanut flavor, resembling the consistency of baby food. The chicken curry was also disappointing. I would only consider eating here again if dog poop was the only other option. I am deeply disappointed. The old May King had delicious food with flavor. The new version needs to go back to the original standards.

We have been loyal customers of May King for almost thirty years. Despite trying out other Chinese restaurants, we always find that May King is the best. The food is consistently excellent and May and her staff always provide a warm and friendly welcome. This is why we are giving it a five-star rating.

My first visit to May King despite the fact they have been open for more than 30 years. I phoned our order in advance the meal was ready in ten minutes just in time for my pick up. The meal we had was hot,fresh and one of the best takeaways we have had in the area and reasonably priced . We'll be back !

Read review so thought we try tonight. I have never tasted such a bland meal in my life,the smell when opened was bad enough and the food was awful, We will stick to the Chinaman inFoster Ave from now on
