Fish Inn - Thanet

Ordered a takeaway over the phone , I arrived on time to collect. Other people served in front of me as a result it was 20 mins after I arrived to walk out with my order which had been kept warm above the fryers. This business is not well run I won't be returning .

I have visited this restaurant twice in the past 2 months for takeout food. The food was decent, but I was not impressed with the service. The young female servers seemed to just stare at me when taking my order, giving off a dismissive and aloof attitude. Instead of focusing on the customers, they were more interested in looking out onto the road to see who was passing by. Their conversations about their relationships were laughable and embarrassing. Overall, I found them to lack basic people skills.

The small fish was a nice size portion but the batter was dry and shrivelled must of sat in cabinet a,while. Chips were not that great either. People were queuing so I can only imagine there was cooked fresh, so they were waiting for this. Gave them a second chance tonight won't be back again

We I've in Broadstairs so are partial to good fish and chips. Have been using Fish Inn for many years on and off it's had its up and down periods. We've tried all the fish and chips shops locally in Broadstairs, but this is by far the best. Plenty of room and tables to sit in and eat if you wish and there's a variety of non fish items on the menu too. The chaps running it at the moment are always friendly but most importantly the fish is good. Size is hit and miss but given the current climate with fish industry you kind of expect that. Never had a problem with the quality of the fish, always cooked well and nice and white with a good portion of chips. We find a medium chips is ample for the three of us. In preference, I prefer my batter a bit lighter and crispier but that's just me. All in all good fish and chips.

Large Cod and child's fish and chips £15.00 Cod was not much bigger than the child's potion Very dried up looks like it had been cooked awhile chips were little scraps of the potatoes and nothing was hot Will not go there again
