Meltschok - Thal bei Graz

I absolutely adore this place. I 've been coming here my whole lifeand the quality hasn 't changed a a bit. It 's actually built to be a small fishmonger where you can buy all kinds of fresh seafood from king sized prawns to mussles or various fish filets or even whole fish. The staff is always kind and it 's a family-run business. My absolute favourite is Fischbruch with potatoe salad (note: best potatoe salad you will ever have). I 've had it thousands of times and it 's my Austrian equivalent to the renowned British 'Fish and Chips '. Fischbruch are the small off-cuts of the cod filets which are being breaded and then deep fried. But that 's not the only thing they offer. They have a daily special for only 9€ including a side dish of your choice, which is a real bargain if you ask me! Definitely worth a try!
