Taqueria Don Ruben - Texas City

Located in a modest spot, this restaurant offers a great authentic menu of traditional Taqueria-Tarife dishes. The breakfast and lunch options are excellent and reasonably priced. The brisket and Fajita-Rind are standout dishes. The staff is very friendly and the location is convenient. This spot is ideal for a quick lunch and I highly recommend trying their mini-tacos.

In 2021, my partner and I had a fantastic lunch at this little taqueria. The experience was amazing, and we felt very welcomed as if we were in grandma's kitchen. The food was delicious, especially the chips and salsa. The tacos and charro beans were incredible. We will definitely be returning with friends!

My favorite taqueria in Galveston County, and some may even say in Harris and Brazoria counties as well. It is a must-visit spot with generous portions of delicious food. This family-run business offers a wide variety of menu items that I highly recommend trying. Taqueria Don Ruben has a loyal following, with some customers even willing to drive an hour just for their famous breakfast burritos.

Eating is really good. mr. ruben has made a taco stand for my baby shower and a party for my family, which he has never disappointed us. how to go here for real authentic Mexican tacos.

Service is very good and very attentive personnel. My serving was fajita plate and also a tripita taco. The tripa taco was good the tripitas were on my opinion overdone to crunchy but that is me. I like them in between cruchy and soft. The fajita plate was the same the fajitas and chicken fajitas were overcooked the meat was hard and with minimal juicy flavor. The fajitas should be juicy . The charro beans are very good the rice had a very good flavor to it. The tortillas are the ones that make the difference in a meal and unfortunately the tortillas are from packs sold on any store. Obviously tradition has been lost because of labor of making tortillas by hand, but that is what make the difference in any restaurant. If this things change in the future I will surely change the rating.
