Zapata's - Texarkana

Zapata's offers a lively atmosphere that's perfect for dates and gatherings. On weekends, it tends to be quite loud and crowded, which can be fun but may not be ideal if you're looking for a quiet meal. The white queso is delicious, but the overall food quality has never quite impressed me. It's decent, but it's not my first choice when I'm in the mood for Mexican cuisine. However, the margaritas are consistently great!

I ordered the enchiladas, but they lacked flavor. They tasted like something you'd find in a frozen dinner.

We had heard Zapata's was a very good place to eat but we were very disappointed, especially for the cost of our meals. The table was uncomfortable being set at an angle against the wall, and a wedge had to be placed under the leg to keep it from rocking. The soft drinks came out in Styrofoam cups. Our meals were very bland and the ground beef seemed dry. We liked our server. She was nice and professional. However, we won't visit Zapata's again.

Food and service were great! All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
