Harrows Chicken Pies - Tewksbury

Harrow's Chicken Pies have been there for over eighty years and for good reason! The small, family-run exhaust chain is fresh, known and reliable daily. Chicken Pot Pies in different sizes are sold three types: fresh, frozen or hot! (Call ahead for hot!) There are also freshly prepared dessert cakes and several secondary dishes. All this and fast and friendly service! We enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Kruste was just like my Nana and many large pieces of white meat chicken, potatoes and carrots. Sauce was tenderly spiced as it should be. I can't wait to try the blueberry cake we bought. Very recommended!

Adult in reading near the original Harrows this is not a brain. This has been a hit in my family for almost 50 years and has gone from one generation to the next. No other chicken cake comes close.

Great place to get Quality Pies! I mean to cook chicken with vegetable cake, 1 serving, fresh and ready. Each piece has their printed instructions on them so you know what to do when you bring it/it home. These instructions apply when you buy it Frozen or Fresh and from 1 serving up to 4 servings.

Perfect storm.... frozen snowstorm... ordered to cook two family pills, one on my way home from work... One I gave to my neighbor... It was like my grandmother made her herself.... Quality was so much better than any bought cake....

We did a takeout on Saturday of a hot pie and had it for dinner when we got home (after reheating a bit as we are 30 mins away). Despite sharing our surname, this was our first visit. I would not say it is better than my wife's homemade chicken pie, but it is definitely an excellent chicken pie. Large pieces of white meat chicken, excellent crust, tasty gravy with potatoes and carrots. I also picked up a pint of squash to balance or my meal a bit better. The squash was very fresh tasting and overall quite good, but a little runny. I put it in a bowl instead of on my plate. If you are looking for some simple, home-style, comfort food, I would definitely recommend them. Take-out only.
