Wonderful place for fish and chips in the sunny evening. music on Sunday arvos makes fun.
We checked out five other fish chips places before deciding on Noosa Harbour. It was the perfect place for a fresh fish meal, beautifully battered, a very interesting salad and a lovely glass of chilled pinot grigio, obligingly given an extra glass of ice to keep the wine super chilled. Not being chip eaters everything was delicious on the plate, we selected our piece of fish which was fish was cooked perfectly, location is the best for a languid evening meal, no traffic, and, although the staff were hustling with meal service, takeaways and tables, they were all smiling. Next time I'm in Noosa, I won't bother with hunting for fresh looking fish and ambience, I'll go straight to Noosa Harbour Fish Market.
Visited with family and enjoyed our lunch despite small portions. However it was very disappointing that after buying lunch for 5 people including alcoholic drinks, they refused to give us tap water, insisting the only water they would give us were the overpriced bottled water. Very irresponsible service of alcohol refusing giving us free water on a hot day, and also hypocritical given the “single use plastic free” certificate (or similar wording) they had on the wall… whilst making us purchase a single use plastic bottle. Won’t be returning.
We live at Marcoola and often come for lunch, as we haven't found anything that compares closer to home. We normally get crumbed goldband snapper, crumbed calamari and potato scallops and it is always delicious and yummy aioli) Cooked to perfection Calamari is SO tender Always fresh Oil seems to be changed frequently Friendly service Have no hesitation in recommending to anyone that appreciates quality, well cooked seafood.
