Their prices are fair, they also give you a good part of your hungry self will be satisfied. I ordered the 3 meat plate with brisket, sausage and ribs and couldn't finish it. But she needed to go. Your beans and potato salad are great. The best thing is they have AC! We arrived during the peak of the summer (would not recommend lol). I saved it in my eyes so I can tell everyone about this place.
First from the BBQ is the best in Texas. I have come to Big Bend from Dallas since 2019 and saw that this place for a BBQ truck on the side of the road comes to the great place DB now has. It is a great location eating in the mountains, indoor and outdoor seating. I have the 3 meat plate with sausage, ribs and 1/2
Excellent BBQ with excellent charm. We shared the Marilyn (5 meat plate with three sides) for just the two of us and we'll have leftovers for days (the Marilyn could easily feed two adults and two kids). The sausage was some of the best I've ever had, and the brisket was outstanding. Also, the sides were super-tasty and the beer selection was fairly large. The restaurant itself is really an oversized garage with an inside/outside feel with lots of charm and the evening we visited there was a couple of local and talented musicians performing. I def recommend visiting DB's if you're in the area...especially after a big hike!
Great BBQ ... in the middle of nowhere. No offense to Terlingua (dictionary doesn't know such word , but it looks like ... Nowhere. However, substantially larger and far more populous than Nothing, AZ. Upon entry, you are greeted by a gorgeous Long Horn (the biggest we have seen : map and images are attached. Anyway, there is a hybrid between a shack and a garage, where great BBQ is made and served. (No fancy tableware, but you are there not for the service, but for the food, right ? BTW, awesome pickles and you can ask for extra. Not dirt cheap: 3 meats and 2 canned beers $40.
We weren?t able to eat here since they had run out of food (6:45 on Wed 12.29) however they still had good live music, cold beers, and soda. We left and got takeout from a food truck then came back and sat outside by the fire and bought a few beers while we enjoyed the music. DB himself was sitting at the same picnic table as us, I heard him tell someone he usually wasn?t open at the beginning of the week, but wanted to make sure people could eat. Can?t wait to go back and try the food. Bartender (man with small face tattoo) was really nice.
