I and a group of 12 people ended at the food in Pizzeria Moctezuma and was pleasantly surprised from the food to the point that I was very curious and asked the owner / chef about his background. It happens that he had worked in the USA (legal or illegal, I don't know) in an Olive Garden and I guess he handed over his former employer, as his pizzas and empanadas are faaar better than anything you tried at OG! The place is very casual and could fool you, but it is worth it. For dessert try the chocolate Chilaquiles!!
After a long day of shopping in Mercado we were looking for a cheap place to eat and drink. When there was a Sunday at 9:30, there were not too many options in our price range. We were looking for travel advisors and found Pizzeria Moctezuma. Open late and just over a block from the main train. The restaurant was in the house of a person. We sat on a beautiful candle table and enjoyed local beers and fresh Sangria. For such a small place, the menu had many possibilities. We chose the Papas Bravas for a starter and shared a medium pizza 1/2 Moctezuma and 1/2 pastor. The boss, Victor, was extremely helpful to inform us about every dish and the history of the restaurant. All ingredients were very fresh and the pizza was cooked in an oven. The food was excellent and the atmosphere and the service made it even more pleasant. We enjoyed our evening in Pizzeria Moctezuma so much, we even returned the following night!
