We were on the road with Uber so it couldn't come to them. It's on the expensive side, but servers are great at their jobs and nothing is a disturbance, the food was very good and very authentic. The guacamole was so good that my Nabeby's barbacoa was exceptional. They do not western food so if you enjoyed a fussy teenager a little trickey, but they made cheese enchiladas that teens.
In general, the menu is a good selection of Mexican dishes and imaginative drinks most diners would recognize, but then there are insects. Don't scream. The Mexicans have been eating them for thousands of years. The restaurant is located in the archaeological zone and offers a beautiful view of the Serpent Temple.
Right behind the pyramid of the moon, this is a beautiful place for local food and beers. The prices were average, but the view of the pyramid is a fun plus.
I was just here last week. This restaurant is located near the southern parking lot/entrance into the archeological zone, inside the park. It is upstairs in a 3 story building with large windows giving you a view of the ancient ruins. The wait staff was very helpful and patient with me since my Spanish is poor. Using google translate on my smartphone helped me on more than one occasion during my stay in Mexico. I ate a lot of food, the portions were big and filling. I had some tortilla chips with guacamole, soup, and quesadillas, if I remember correctly. The food was delicious. I would eat here again if in the area.
Long story short, we had to go right away to catch up with our tour group. We had to throw 500 pesos on these men so that they would allow me and my friend to leave the restaurant. We just ordered a drink. I heard La Gruta is a good place to go in the area.
