The Colonade Kiosk - Tendring

Great spot for a snack overlooking the sea. Delicious donuts. Soft, fluffy, not at all greasy, fair price.

We love going to this cafe the staff are always so friendly and always happy. The coffee and donuts are amazing and the food is always cooked fresh and very reasonably priced highly recommended

We live in Walton so are able to visit the Colonnade Kiosk almost every day whilst they are open. The food is always freshly cooked (the chips cooked in beef dripping are to die for! . Proper coffee at reasonable prices, Donuts cooked to order, lots of different flavour ice cream, what more could you ask for? The proprietors are great characters, it's always a pleasure to visit them. A bunch of us meet up on a regular basis and sit and drink our coffee and chat. The position of the kiosk means it's pretty much sheltered from the wind and there's a large awning so you can sit out of the sun if you want to. Well worth a visit.

The best beach cafe in Walton better than any frinton or clacton honestly. Food is always cooked beautifully, donuts always so fresh, everything and even the ice cream! Coffee is fab real Wish they had a bigger area for seating. We are actually sad they don't open a bit later it would be great to stroll along there in summer later afternoon as sun is going down sometimes. Obviously on a warm evening. I ordered two coffee latte today and made the mistake of asking for two regular latte. When I picked them up and got them back to our table we found they were vanilla latte. We took them back and they refused to change them saying we asked for vanilla latte we had not touched them. Why would we ask for something that we do not like. Obviously as I asked for regular latte they heard vanilla instead of regular through the covid screen a mistake that can be easily made. We ended up with no coffee at all we had to walk away having paid for it. It would have been nice for them to agree it was a misunderstanding as we would never order something we dont drink
