It's been a few years since we visited this place hoping it would change. I'd rather go to the Duarte Rd/Santa Anita Ave shop, but the family left me. Also, chickens look anorexic.
Two things, drive thru, first thing, I ordered 2 churros and they forget to put in the bag. Secondly, I asked for additional salsa, but she said she can't give it to me. Is there no self-service Salsa Bar inside without borders? I'm probably not coming back to this place.
I have never done reviews before for the restaurant, but I have to do this one because the poor service and very bad quality of food , the waiting time for the cashier is 45minute, there are only 2 customers in front of me, average over 20 minutes to take one order, I had been so many el pollo loco in different city, I love them all but this one is like street vendors sells taco, the check they cut very small and broken pieces, and the salad is big pieces can?t even put in the mouth, the people waiting long line, they only open one register, the server talking and chatting, I can?t believe this kind of store in those days still open, they abuse the good name of the business and distorted, hope the top management go under cover investigation. The quality of the food has gone down tremendously. The chicken is either undercooked or burnt. They treat the store like a street taco vendor. This place needs improvements. At least, it is a clean restaurant. The presentation of the dine-in isn't up to standard.
I've been waiting for most 20 minutes to receive my order. I figured out I received the wrong item when I got home. I ordered 10 pc mixed chicken but got 10 pc leg thigh. I went back to the store to correct it. The staff was talking to another staff in Spanish to clarify the problem. They were laughing and talking, didn't take any action immediately, but wasting my time. Eventually, I received the correct item I ordered, but I didn't receive any respect or reimbursement in the whole process. When I got home, I found the wings were not well-grilled, still raw inside. It's a very dissatisfied, disappointed experience after all.
