Dumpling King - Temple City

Left the DMV hungry and tried the pork and chives dumplings stir-fried. They were delicious. Its a simple Ma&Pa restaurant. clean. I didnt see any vegan or vegetarian options

This was a local find from BF! We wanted to try a variety of their menu so we ordered a bunch of stuff: scallion pancake $4.99) beef turnip pockets $11.99) comes with 6 seafood dumplings $10.99) comes with 10 pork cabbage dumplings $8.99 $2 if you want it pan fried) comes with 10 Their scallion pancake is thicker than usual, but other than that, the rest of our order, however, were solid selections! In particular, dip the beef turnip pockets in some vinegar for an extra burst of flavor. Dumpling King is now part of my rotation of restaurants when I'm craving for some dumplings. They also sell frozen ones if you want to stock up at home.

I got dumplings with the wood ear (black fungus) in it. It had a lot of flavor, but the meat is on the fattier side than I like. I like my meat leaner. The hot and sour soup did not have meat in it, which I would've liked, but was otherwise tasty.

First time visiting and plan to come back. Ordering by phone was easy and pick up was a breeze. Dumplings were tasty. Overall menu is reasonably priced.

Take their stuff home you won't be disappointed! Literally have to look hard to find this hidden gem, but I'm so glad I did! Food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The lady (I'm assuming she's the chef/owner) hand makes all the food herself, and was super friendly and helpful with her recommendations. Place is clean as authentic as it gets if you're craving northern china dumplings/Baos!
