My family and I visited this restaurant for Mother's Day and we had a wonderful experience. The special for moms was delicious and my wife thoroughly enjoyed it. The rest of the food was also amazing, with the fried beans being a standout dish. This was our first visit but definitely not our last. I look forward to trying more items from the menu. Each dish was served hot, showing that they were freshly made. I was impressed by the attentive service, with one of the young men even making eye contact and immediately coming to assist us. The atmosphere was pleasant, although the music was a bit loud for an early evening meal. However, they promptly lowered it upon request. The only downside was that our waitress could have been more attentive. Overall, the food was outstanding in taste, quality, and quantity. This would have been a 4-star review if not for the slightly lacking service.

The food is excellent and the service is good. The restaurant is very authentic. The lemonade and guacamole are both amazing.

The key to enjoying this restaurant is to be open-minded. Head to the bar area, chat with the friendly waiter or waitress, enjoy some tunes on the jukebox, and order whatever they suggest for both food and drinks. The additional dishes are hit or miss and the service can be a bit slow at times, but the food is good overall. It may not be anything extraordinary, but the prices are reasonable.
