Puntoristoro Nuraghe Majori

We had a set menu of delicious starters and roasted meat. Kids had homemade pasta. The restaurant has a great space where children can play with various toys. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved it!

Normally, we would never dine in a restaurant next to a tourist attraction. But a local recommended this as a good choice since it was walking distance from the nuraghe Majori. We had a wonderful time and meal. Yes, the menu is limited but they stick to what they know and the prices are more than honest. The food is typical for the area. My generous board full of local cold cuts and cheeses was served with gluten free pane carasau and a gluten free roll, served warm. I did NOT expect to be able to enjoy gf breads, much less the local specialty. (Fresh ricotta with mirto/mela jam on that hot roll was spectacular! . Then came a freshly grilled plate of pork and a potato baked over the fire. A good cannonau wine was €2.50 a glass. Our sweet server, Patrizia, offered us a piece of honeycomb after dessert and a digestivo. Our total bill was less than €45 for two.

Recommended to go here by the owner of the place we were staying, the location is so quiet and peaceful and natural. The food came out and I couldn't believe my eyes with how much there was. and this was just the starter! Then the main came and there was even more, all cooked to absolute perfection! Highly Recommended.

We happened upon this family run restaurant that was adjacent to the nuraghi ruins we explored and had lunch here. Patrizia treated us like family as she brought us seasonal grilled vegies eggplant and peppers), local vermentino wine, and beef seasoned with an herbal mix made with myrtle berries. A complimentary taste of the Sardinian liquer, mirto also derived from myrtle berries) was delightful as was a serving of local honeycomb. Several local products can be purchased within the restaurant.
