Varsity Tavern On Mill Ave - Tempe

Our experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. We visited before a show at ASU Gammage on Superbowl Sunday, expecting a noisy atmosphere. However, we were okay with that. Unfortunately, the women's restrooms were in a terrible state with broken toilet paper holders and rolls of paper on the dirty floor. Our server took a long time to take our order and it took 35 minutes for our food to arrive. We had to rush to the show and asked for the bill with our food, only to find out that my Chicken Caesar Salad was actually a regular house salad. The server never returned for us to address the mistake. Overall, we will not be returning to this restaurant and would not recommend it to others.

We made a reservation on OpenTable, but the restaurant informed us that they no longer use the platform. We were seated at dirty tables and had to ask to be moved. The menu did not match what was listed online because they had created a special menu for a "live event" that weekend. We decided to leave politely and would not recommend this place.

Service was slow. Pretty good happy hour. Taco Tuesday is a good dea.

We booked through OpenTable. The restaurant stated that they no longer use it. We were brought to filthy tables and had to be reseated. The menu was not what was online as they recreated the menu for the “live event” that weekend. We politely left. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Great first team lunch at Varsity. We all agreed we will be returning.
