Udupi Cafe - Tempe

This restaurant has some of the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted! Everything tastes so fresh and homemade and I love that vegan items are clearly labeled. Great sized portions that make delicious leftovers that you look forward to! Would give 5 stars if they ditched the dairy and went completely vegan :

The first time here and really enjoyed what I got. there were tons full vegan option. the mango juice was also great. will definitely try other items again. we have 2 entrees, an app and a drink and the total price was not high at all.

I moved to udupi cafe for this famous buffet I heard so much. I came there and was greeted by a beautiful young lady who told me to sit down. I sat and asked myself what brote I wanted and I had no warning. I asked her recommendation and she said she would bring both. I went to the buffet. the young lady was there and I asked her what is vegan friendly. at first she said everything with an orange sign is vegan. then I go on, only food on my plate that has an orange sign, then it comes past and shows specifically what vegan is, the other colored signs included. I am glad that she clarified this because this has opened me for more options. I have no idea what was called, but most of the things were delicious. some of the curries and other things had a little spicy, so in front of that the spicy is not her ding. but then again my sharp tolerance is low. all in all, the customer service was great and they can not beat a buffet for $15. updated by previous review on 2022-05-06

Eating here is exceptional and moderate. huge Sunday buffets with many, probably mostly vegan options. weekday buffets also have many possibilities. we have come here for 10 years when we are in town and are rarely disappointed. everything tastes fresh and well seasoned. in addition, server potato pot cans put on the table. the restaurant concentrates on standard South Indian food, idli, dosa, sambar, pongal, but also offers north indian options. tee by itself serve canisters. when they live in the city, they are so happy!
