Rainforest Cafe Tempe Arizona Mills

We had a wonderful experience eating at the rainforest cafe. My kids love that restaurant so we go probably 4-6 times a year. We enjoy the food a lot and the kids love the animals. Today we had a birthday party for my daughter and the service was wonderful and the food was great. I gave it a 4/5 today instead of a 5/5 not because of the restaurant but because of the store. There is a store attached to the restaurant and there’s this lady that works in it and she accused my daughter of taking something from the store when it was a birthday present from our friend. I understand the mixup because the store had the exact same thing, but the reason why I’m annoyed by the experience is that as I said before, we’ve gone to eat there a bunch and I’m pretty sure it’s the same exact lady that follows us around whenever we are looking at stuff in the store and hovers. Look lady, we spend hundreds of dollars every time we go eat there. Tonight alone, I spent $400 for our meals. We have the money to pay for our stuff and we are good people. We aren’t going to steal your $11 **** so please back the f off. Give people some space when they are shopping! It’s really off putting.

We were disappointed that there was no rain.( Obviously it is updated) I unfortunately came with a large group that expected all normal attractions

I read the reviews before we went, so I knew what to expect. My granddaughters 6 and 7 were entertained by the jungle animation. One steak Fajita, one Cobb Salad, two children’s chicken nuggets and fries, two iced teas, and side mozzarella sticks over $100. Kids drinks were free. We had a reservation for noon on a Saturday. We were seated right away at a booth as requested. Order was taken and that’s the last time anyone spoke to us for 30 minutes. Mozzarella sticks showed up, food about 15 minutes later. The food wasn’t bad, just expensive. It was a nice experience…once.

As always the ambience was great, As always. But it did take a very long time for us to get our food. We do understand that in order for food to be fresh it may take a while but it must have taken about 45 minutes For our meals and 20 minutes for them to bring out the children's pudding dessert, And with children that is a long time to wait. We were there for just about 2 hours and it was not very busy. Otherwise the server was very nice And the food was delicious. You are definitely paying for the atmosphere.

Service was mediocre, bathrooms disgusting, food was ok although way overpriced.
