Messana's Chicago Hot Dogs - Tempe

I got a Chicago dog, and my boyfriend got the chili dogs. There was so much celery salt on my hot dog that I had to wipe it off with a napkin. I tried a bite of the chili dog, and it tasted like canned hot dog sauce you can buy at the grocery store. Somewhat disappointing...just being honest. The menu is very limited, but the staff was friendly, and the dog itself was tasty, all things considered. The fries were really good.

Great little place for a REAL chicago hot dog! Best one I have had in a long time. Also, they know ketchup doesn't belong on a good hot dog.

Great hot dog spot. We stopped by, and the food did not disappoint. The owner was so friendly and came outside to speak with us several times. I'm a Midwesterner, and it was nice to have a little touch of home.

If you love Chicago style hot dogs this is the place to go. The owner is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean and decked out with Chicago memorabilia! The food was amazing and I hope that this local mom and pop restaurant stays open for a long time because they have a loyal customer out of me. Being from Chicago I'm sick of all these chain restaurants and can really appreciate this owner opening up a taste of home right here in Arizona.

Hot dogs are good and chicago style authentic,however, they are a bit overcooked. The skin of the hot dog is a bit tough. Fries are decent, I really like the celery salt on them.
