El Pollo Loco - Tempe

I went out. Very clean restaurant. Very good customer service. Smile/Grading/suggestive sell...all perfect up....I came home. The fourth (4th! time I got chicken from this place that, while NOT busy, serves me DRY, SHRIVELED, CRUSTY unedible pieces of chicken that should be thrown away, instead served at food cost to save. I've missed this SAME problem three times. These chickens should have been discarded 3 hours before and I should have been served some fresh. Shame on the manager/servers for not do quality control!! You have lost a very patient customer who previously loved EPL

Normally their chicken is tender and moist. The Uber Eats order was very dry and hard. I was disappointed. I will still give them another chance to do it right.

Been coming to this El Pollo Loco for 11 years and have always been happy. Recently they've had issues messing up my order. Today I ordered a double chicken avocado salad. The cashier asked if I was requesting the double chicken tostada salad. I corrected her and told her again I wanted the double chicken avocado salad. Several minutes later I was served a salad in a tostada that clearly was not what I ordered. When I tried to get them to correct the order, a person from behind the grill came around and tried to explain to me in Spanish that it was the same thing and that I apparently should just dump the salad out of the tostada and eat it that way. In the end I chose to ask for a refund as I was not comfortable with the state of service at this point. After 11 years this unfortunately might be my last trip to this location.

Well the sprite was good! Moved my office to mesa a year ago and go often to this place. Particular Drive thru lady is always so rude. Can?t wait til I finish ordering. You can tell she gets upset when we special order an item like no onion etc. always rushes orders and it?s not like there was long line. Today the chips were thrown in a baggie and were all crushed not even tied the salsas looked like they went bad. I don?t care how long an employee is there someone needs to put her in check hopefully the new so called manager will do something to get it running like it use to.

I was looking for good Mexican food and discovered this place.. Wanted to taste their tacos , but really disappointed as the filling was not impressive and very blunt.. On the other hand loved the grilles chicken that actually saved my day.. Service was prompt n quick, people were maintaining social distance!!
