Back East Bagels - Tempe

The bagels were fresh, which I like, but I came here twice, and all their bagels are dense but soft, so it's kinda like chewing gum.

Watching the eggs for my sandwich get poured from a jug into a one time use plastic container then tossed in the microwave was disappointing. Bagels and coffee are good but not good enough to turn this into my regular breakfast spot. If I have to choose between this place or the big chain across the street I’ll choose this small business but I’m definitely searching for a new spot to stop in the morning.

I love the energy of the place, very relaxing and chill. $4 for handmade bagels is affordable to me. It tasted so good. The best bagel I have had in Arizona.

Drove 15 minutes out of our way to try this highly reviewed bagel spot only to find out that they ran out of bagels two hours before closing. How do you run out of bagels??? If you have such a high demand either make more or have your business hours open during a shorter amount of time.
