Hobo's Bbq Tavern - Temecula

We visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening, only to find that it was essentially a one-person operation. The waiter was also acting as the host, chef, and busboy. Unfortunately, the first five items we attempted to order were unavailable. Ultimately, I settled on my sixth choice, chili spaghetti, which turned out to be inedible. There was no warning from the waiter or indication on the menu that it would be spicy. After taking just two bites, I discovered it was far too hot for my liking. The waiter later admitted he should have advised us, as the dish contained four different types of hot peppers. He expressed regret, especially since he had removed the charge for the spaghetti and offered an additional 15% discount due to the lack of available items. While the coleslaw was good and the chocolate bundt cake was enjoyable, the overall experience left much to be desired. This place really needs improvement before Guy Fieri features it again. Save your time and money; visit the RibShack or Firehouse in Fallbrook for better service and BBQ.

A must-visit! The food is served in generous portions and is full of flavor, and the staff is incredibly attentive. We left feeling satisfied and as if we had made new friends. It was a wonderful experience.

I ordered the BBQ lasagna and a quarter pound of burnt ends. I noticed that brisket wasn’t on the menu, and the staff member informed me they had removed it because they couldn’t keep it moist. Not a great sign for a BBQ restaurant. When my food arrived, they brought me ribs instead of the burnt ends, so I had to wait even longer. Apparently, the original owner sold the restaurant a few months ago, and the new owners plan to add “Cantina” to the name while keeping most of the menu. Best of luck to them.

If I could provide zero or negative . I would give VERY big negative review. Definitely top 5 worse food I've ever eaten!! It's never fun to give a big review, but I had to share my experience to save other people there money, time and possibly getting sick

My family is a huge BBQ lover and since moving here we've tried two other local places and have enjoyed it. But like always, we like to explore and try new places. Unfortunately, this place was just not it. The pork ribs were thick with very little flavor. The sauce on the side tasted like something i could get at the grocery store. The side options what also not very interesting. How do you not have mac and cheese or cornbread as part of the menu? I asked the waiter what was in the pasta salad and he didn't know which is fine but also didn't bother to go find out and get back to us. Opted for the mash potato side but I wasn't really impressed. We were told that because the bar is next door we would have to separate checks one for cocktails and one for food which I thought was kind of odd and not convenient. Food was meh and I wouldn't necessarily go back there for BBQ ribs.
