Smuggler's Brew Pub - TELLURIDE

We arrived on time for our reservation and were promptly seated. The beer selection was decent, with the Blonde Betty being refreshing and the red IPA enjoyable. The food, however, was a mix of hits and misses. The gem wedge salad was okay, but the blue cheese dressing was too runny. The Chicken Royale lacked cilantro mayo and was dry without it. The sandwich was supposed to come with bacon, but only had one lonely piece on top. Despite being hungry, I couldn't finish it. We also tried the green chili burger with a Beyond burger patty, which I thought was okay but my date did not enjoy. The staff had a mix of friendly and serious demeanor. Overall, I would only recommend this place for a drink, not a meal.

I made a reservation through OpenTable, but when I arrived at the restaurant, they claimed to have no record of my reservation. I showed them my confirmation on my phone, but the response was very rude, with the employee saying, "I don't know what I am looking at!" The burgers were mediocre and didn't resemble the photo at all. The empanada appetizer was frozen in the middle. The service was slow and inattentive.

Do not book this restaurant. We had a reservation that they confirmed first by email then by text. When we arrived there was a note on the door that said closed for a private event. They did not inform us of any cancellations. When I called them they offered no apologies and no explanation. Upon reading other reviews they have done this to others who reserved with them.

We called at regarding a reservation at via OpenTable to indicate we would be a little late. After being put on hold for minutes, we were told they didn't have our reservation. Although we could have been there at they rejected our request Fortunately there are other great restaurants in Telluride. Don't waste your time on this one.
