Rising Sun Tavern - Telford

Went to their wine paring on May 19th. Food was excellent. Wines superbly pared. Suggest that before they distribute the wine, make sure all wine portions are even when distributed. There were 3 guest at the table, the first 2 wine parings, white, were all evenly poured. The last 2 wine parings red; with main meal and dessert; 2 pours were close to even, unfortunately the 3rd persons glass, was considerably and noticeably short. Look forward to attending future parings.

We both had bison burgers and they were delicious! The French fries were pretty darn good as well. We got the wings, which were big and crispy. Service was good. We definitely plan on returning and trying more from the menu!

Wife and I had an opportunity for a date night without the kids. I surprised her with RSI. It was our first visit. We ate in the tavern as we are not too fancy. The tavern/bar was quite casual but warm surrounded with natural wood panelling. Also glad we did the tavern because the dining room was empty at 8:00 on a Saturday night. Otherwise, the tavern had a good amount above 8pm, so we didn't feel any hurry at all. We were both very satisfied with the menu options that have a number of bison options, but there were everything from comfort food to pasta to seafood, etc. There were at least 6 dinners I would have personally tried on every given night, and they had 3 specials available in addition to the menu options. I had the Bison pot. The woman had the bison talloin with lump collar. Both meals were delicious and came with delicious sides and salad (edge) and bread, so portions were perfectly sufficient and the prices were reasonable. I am happy to go back to try more varieties on Bison culinary!

We used to enjoy this place. Food is good. Service is so so BUT the kicker for us recently is the outrageous price increases. My husband and I sat at the bar. We had 3 drinks each, appetizer, salad with bison, burger Fries. Our bill was $150 ? We just had the exact same meal at another local establishment, Food was better and bill was 1/2 the price. I hope the pricing strategy doesn?t back fire on you.

Attended for a smaller wedding. Service and food were amazing. The staff all seemed super supportive and helpful. Outdoor wedding backed up to open land with a bison and lots of deer. Barn and its decorations were amazing to support cocktail hour downstairs and dinner upstairs.
