Taj Mahal - Teguise

The Taj Mahal is not in an ideal location bit set back we fell upon it doing for a walk one eve looking for something to eat. We sat inside at first but it was very hot so sat outside. Service quite good although got the impression that most of the waiters were not used to doing their job especially when one of them rowed with a lady who was with her young son after she requested a receipt for payment which she had made making it a little uncomfortable.

When we stayed in Costs Teguise, we ended up going to Taj Mahal quite often for dinner. The food was very tasty, consistent, portions good, very friendly staff and quick service. The ambience is informal, but nothing to complain about.

Waiter was very friendly . We had a lovely meal and it was good value . The overall ambience is informal , with some nice heritage pictures in the main inside seating area. There is a good selection of starters and mains but as usual the desserts/sweet menu is below par.

Had a meal here recently with my wife. Waiter came immediately and served drinks. However I was bit concerned when I visited the toilets as they were not up to good hygeine standards with strong smell of urine. The meal however was excellent with good portions and the service was very attentive. This could be an excellent little restaurant with a lick of paint to the decor and cleaner toilets. Would still visit again.

I ate here tonight with my wife for an anniversary meal and i have to be honest it was one of the best indian meals we have had to date,superb food and filling portions accompained with great friendly service,highly recommend it
