Tj Katsu Udon - Te Aro New Zealand

TJ do a mean Chicken Katsu curry.<br/ Vegetarian options are limited but they do have a couple tofu options.<br/ <br/ Tonight it took a while for staff to notice we were ready to order but once ordered the food came quickly and hot!<br/ <br/ The tables are directly next to each other so you are intimate with strangers and privvy to their conversations.<br/ <br/ It's also a sushi place so you do have that tug between restaurant and takeaway.<br/ <br/

Came here expecting Japanese curry, to my surprise the all the staff were speaking Korean. As we were too hungry to hunt for another place to eat, we went ahead and ordered the pork katsu curry and gyoza. The food was pretty good as we already anticipated that it'll be a Korean style curry but I was a bit disappointed as I have been hoping to eat Japanese style curry.

Really love the $1 sushi deals!Great music,  great vibes,  great location~Really love the style of the restaurant as it brings back memories of my trip to Japan.10/10 will be back again!

The food is delicious, and sushi makes for a quick and convenient lunch choice. If you decide to eat in, the dishes are still enjoyable, but the ambiance is quite limited.

Reasonably priced, clean, efficient, and delicious. The quality is consistently excellent. TJ Katsu serves up tasty meals quickly, making it perfect for a quick lunch break. I've visited many times and will definitely return again and again.
