Shavi Lomi in translation means Black lion, so while eating you will see black cats all around. This was first place that asked for covid permission (PCR test or vaccination card). Overall this place is more than just a restaurant it is experience of Georgian cuisine and hospitality. Be aware that it is overpriced, but in this kind of places you pay for experience. Tried mushroom soup which had nothing special, Gugas plate which is basically cheese/herbs/bread/veggies and mint tea which was really nice.

Great and best place, I think 1st place of the Georgian quest you should taste. With perfect crew and best cook!.

I was here recently. It is located in a small street of Vorontsovi. I think it was an old house that was used as a restaurant at the beginning. A magical place where you can enjoy the societality and the atmosphere of the 19. The old Tbilisi century can be experienced again. Shavi Lomi (black lion) recalls an old painting by Niko Pirosmani, a Georgian painter of this time. Soft light, a large burning fireplace, the smell of wood and typical Georgian dishes are the masters. All rooms are small furniture masterpieces. The service is great. A magnificent garden that I will revive in the warm season.
