Machakhela - Tbilisi

We went here for a quick bite late in the evening. Great location near major sightseeing points, has a great view from tables, and enough space between tables. Khinkali was good.

Let's say, you have only one day to try many different Georgian dishes. In this case i would recommend you to go this restaurant. Nothing in the menu is the best of best in Georgia, but still very good and value for the money. A glass of house wine starts from 2 GEL. Lamb Soup was delicious, lobiani and khinkali was good.

The atmosphere inside is nice, you have some privacy. We went there and wait over 10 minutes before food arrive ever though not many customers. The price is not expensive. We tried khinkali beef and it is great. The bbq is ok, though quite salty.

Delicious food! We also had a helpful table waiter although the restaurant was pretty busy. A little pricer than expected..but still worth the experience. Machakhela is basically a chain with good reputation. I'd recommend it as a reliable option but it's not the best Georgian food out there, price wise or quality wise.

Great location, and moderately priced. The food was flavorful, the service was fast. The waiters spoke English and were very helpful and prompt. Pretty standard Georgian restaurant menu, so nothing stood out, but everything we ordered tasted good. The kebabs were great.
