Even though I am partially familiar with Taxco's great spicing labyrinth of a market, I could not remember that it asked such a market seller who was more than happy to join me there. I'm so glad I asked. As usual, Taxco's most tasty food is quite far away from the main square and at home inexpensive restaurants or market counters, ie where the locals go in contrast to where the tourist buses stop. I had chicken Mol- perfect portion, wonderful taste, beautiful bright atmosphere, friendly service. I'm back on my next trip in spring!
It's just the best. The huevos con chorizo Mexican hot chocolate are for dying. If you didn't try Tio Master's cooking, you'll lose. I recommend everything with chorizo/longaniza!
I have eaten here for over 15 years to travel to Taxco - a family restaurant in the daily market. Felipe and his daughter Alejandra are personal and Felipe has a long career as a chef. Everything he cooks is beautifully presented - a cure... Carrot, a radish rose and a taste cure. While he has a prepared menu daily, he will cook everything you desire -- even send Alejandra to the market to buy your ingredients. His fish a la plancha is my favorite. I just started going to breakfast there and recommend the huevos con choriso y cafe de olla. It's closed on Thursday. The easiest access to the Pajaritos Marktstraße (alley) is from Calle de Arco (right side of the Santa Prisca church).
Fuimos a pasar el día con amigos, tanto nos impactó la catedral que decidimos merendar frente a ella y acá llegamos. No pueden dejar de visitarlo. la arquitectura es colonial y bella por donde se la mire.
This place is just THE BEST. The huevos con chorizo & mexican hot chocolate are to die for. If you haven't tried Tio Master's cooking, you're missing out. I recommend anything with chorizo/longaniza!
