Arcade Cafe - Taumarunui

A traditional cafe/tearooms style establishment rarely seen in New Zealand these days. Nothing trendy or artificial here. The place to come for a nostalgic feed of a bygone era. Fill up on great tucker at great prices, served by friendly staff. What more could you want?

A bit of a 70s vibe here, but in a good way. While the decor is a little tragic and the menu is fairly basic the food was delicious and cheap, the cafe spotless, the staff attentive and helpful and the coffee surprisingly good. I highly recommend the Bushmans burger

Just like other reviewers. A blast from the past. Nothing fancy and not pricey, food is good especially their deluxe fish burger, I would recommend others to come for a quick simple feed.

Without a doubt,an absolute gem of a cafe. Run by the friendly and welcoming Eileen Paterson..you get beautiful home baking, generous big breakfasts, eggs Benedict etc...something to please everyone.The coffee is perfect. Love stopping here. Well done Eileen and staff
