Lovely restaurant with really good waitresses. The selection of wines could be a bit better. I ordered beef cooked to medium and got it well done instead but the chocolate fondant made up for the mistakes in beef really decadent with the chocolate oozing out of the center and a nice icecream on the side. All in all would have been superb if the beef hadn't been overcooked.
The interior has nothing special, besides being in the same building with the theatre. They offer a small selection of quite average food, the prices are a bit lower than average.
Grilled vegetables with crisp polenta as a main dish was covered with a very strong and artificial dressing. Tasted horrible. NB! My judgemenet is based on one visit and one dish so you should try it out yourself. Good luck!
This restaurant has been a staple in the community for decades. It was originally a café, likely since the concert hall was built in 1970. Now, it is known as Café Shakespeare, where patrons can sit outside in the summer, enjoy a gentle breeze, dine, and have a drink while admiring the bronze statue of Carl Menning, a theater director from the early 20th century. It is a lovely spot with dependable service, though it can be a bit pricey.
