Lovely lunch. Good service. And the three of us also enjoyed the hay bales in Tarrington. Will be back in 2021 with our Probus group.
Who would have thought you would find food of this quality in such a remote location. I’ve been to this cafe a number of times over the last few years and have always been happy with the food and service. They have a number of different areas too which suit either a couple of people, a large crowd and there’s an outside area if the weather is good too.
Earlier this year, my mother and I, along with some friends from South Australia attended one of Catalpas blooming high teas. The atmosphere was charming, the food delicious, and far more than we could possibly eat, the staff friendly, welcoming and helpful, and lastly, the tea itself, which was served in a clear glass pot, contained a delightful bundle which slowly opened to reveal a flower. Throughout all of my dealings with the business, the staff have been a pleasure to meet with and interact with, not to mention always willing to help no matter the issue. The food is always affordable and delicious, and I would definitely recommend anyone within the region to have a meal, dessert or drink at Catalpa, so that they too can appreciate the atmosphere and attitude of the staff.
Great place to stop and relax in the beer garden, food is pricey for the portion size, but its fresh and the place is clean Good place for Car Clubs as lots of open air parking available.
