El Tejano - Tarpon Springs

I consistently enjoy solid food every time I visit this restaurant. The service is usually excellent, and I dine here frequently.

The service was excellent, but the food was just alright. It felt more authentic to Mexican cuisine, which meant it was a bit milder than what we're used to. A sprinkle of salt and some salsa improved the flavors significantly. The homemade chips were warm and tasty, and the verde salsa was enjoyable, but the pico de gallo was overly runny and lacked texture. The atmosphere resembled that of a cafeteria, and the margaritas were made with beer-based tequila instead of authentic spirits.

Without a doubt, this is the best restaurant I've found since moving from Texas three years ago. The other "Mexican places" around here just can't compare! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Tex-Mex street food experience with amazing dishes. They even serve Victoria beer, and I haven't found another place that even knows what it is! This has become my favorite spot to dine. You definitely can't go wrong with their breakfast tacos, either! I've already recommended this place to my family and friends. As for those who comment on the rundown dining area, I challenge them to name one place in Texas that isn't similar! That's why I say it's the real deal.

The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious! I tried the corn quesadilla, and I loved that I could choose my own meat. The pulled pork was especially great. Definitely recommend dining here!

The food here is truly authentic Mexican! The homemade salsa is delicious. If you're seeking elegant table decor, this isn't the place for you. But if you want the REAL DEAL, just come in, grab a table, and enjoy! The waitress is pleasant and friendly, and the music features genuine Mexican tunes. I'll definitely return for lunch or dinner because the food is that good!
