The Blonde Bear Tavern

I might have had higher expectations for this restaurant given its nice location and the fact that we had to make a reservation. Unfortunately, there was only one server and one bartender attending to the entire dining area, which caused significant delays. Our food took an eternity to arrive! We ordered the hamburger cooked medium well, but it came out severely undercooked. Additionally, my son's kids' meal consisted of just two small chicken strips and a minimal amount of fries. Overall, this restaurant did not meet our expectations and certainly wasn’t worth our time or money. We've had a much better experience at Hondo, which felt far more worthwhile. We won't be dining here again and I wouldn't recommend it to others.

Great spot! The portions are on the smaller side, but the food is overall really good. It's one of the few dining options available in Taos Ski Valley!

The restaurant ran out of items by 7:30 PM. It was disappointing, especially since I could have easily made the same food at home.

We had the Reuben bites and Brussels Sprouts for starters; they were yummy. Followed by ordering a Caesar Salad, an Apple Spinach Salad with Grilled Chicken, a small Chili, a Chicken Piccata entree and a Swiss Chocolate Roll for dessert. Everything was good. Overall a pleasant experience.

We dined at Blonde Bear Tavern on our ski trip Feb 2022, party of 6, with two of us having celiac disease, and a third family member with food allergies to eggs, nuts, shellfish. The hostess called us ahead of time to clarify, and our waiter went out of his way to talk about safe menu items and even had the kitchen prepare simple sides not on the menu. The food was delicious, and the kind attention from our waiter made this a wonderful experience.
