Lantawan - Tangnan

After we finally convinced the 4 guards in the Gatehouse, we did not intend to take the place or worse we found that we were going down a rough, unfinished road that is not unknown in this part of the world, except that is supposed to be a premium high-end resort that has been traded for 11 years! The service in the restaurant was attentive, with portions too large and the food was less than satisfactorily unprepared and expensive for what it was, cooked with both the tuna bell, Maya Maya and Gambas frozen and not fresh this is certainly not what I expect for the prices. Alcoholic beverages have been overpriced and as someone who stays in a real 5* resort for the last 2 weeks, I know what I expect from the terms of restaurant standards and what to pay. No green mangoes or coconuts for smoothies on an island where they grow in abundance, simply is not acceptable in a place like this. My advice for those seeking peace and a high-end restaurant experience, stay at the Belle Vue or South Palms Resorts and in my experience, you will not be disappointed.

Lantawan will never be disappointed at the exclusive Eskaya Beach Resort. Great food with Chef Rexon Pacao at the wheel. The service is attentive and warm. Prices are incredibly much better than most restaurants in Bohol. Make sure you arrange for a reservation because... security is tight, given the profile of the resort.

My wife and I had dinner here for our 3rd wedding anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. Here are the resto’s top selling points: location, ambience, food, and service. The dining area is over looking the ocean and right beside the infinity pool. There was live...music in the background. The food was fairly priced, tasted great and gave generous servings. The service is the main selling point tho. Kudos to the experienced staff and management for the work that they put in. It’s like they approach you exactly when you need them to. No need for awkward hand raising to call the servers attention. We will definitely go back. See you soon!
