Maybe the meat items are better. Did not have the issue of them not giving proper change like the previous review. We are at the restaurant though which they charge the 6% service fee which is normal for the area.
Of all Indian curry and banana leaf restaurants that the tiny municipality contains, this is the most expensive one. The food taste exactly like the other places though, which is luckily quite tasty. However, when we got take out (and waited on our food standing on the street) they demanded a tip. When we said no they loudly shamed us in front of all the restaurant guests and told them they weren’t gonna give us back the change. It’s not that we received any waiter service or sat down! Extremely rude, don’t go there.
We had a great curry here. I had the chana masala with naan and rice. The server was happy to explain what had dairy in it. The best curry we had in Tanah Rata.
There are not many options available at this restaurant, but the food I tried was delicious. Unfortunately, the staff is not very friendly or helpful. The menu does not provide descriptions of each dish, and the waiter does not seem happy when asked to explain them.
We enjoyed the dhal tadka but found the aloo gobi to be underwhelming, with a mushy and overly sweet taste. The naan bread was good and we had to request no ghee twice, yet it still contained ghee. The service was not impressive, but we appreciated that they serve beer.
