World Of Beer - Tampa

During my 5-day trip to Tampa, I visited this restaurant twice and was impressed both times. The staff handled the busy evenings with ease, and Robert, the bartender and server on my first visit, was efficient, knowledgeable about beer, and fun to chat with. Despite my age of 60, he made me feel welcome and showed off his character. World of Beer has a great selection of beers on tap and in bottles, including many local options. Robert recommended a delicious Cigar City red ale, which I enjoyed along with a flight of local brews. The food, including the bark meat barbacoa garnelen tacos and loaded taters, was surprisingly good. The restaurant is conveniently located within walking distance of 5 hotels and has a lovely covered terrace. I highly recommend World of Beer and will definitely be returning whenever I'm in Tampa. I may have even found my go-to hangout spot.

I love the burger Monday deal at this restaurant! The beer selection is great and the burgers are amazing. In my opinion, they are some of the best in Tampa. The patties are thick and flavorful, and all of the appetizers are delicious. I have been back several times and will definitely continue to do so.

When she took our order, she didn't even write it down. My partner ordered a cheeseburger but received a bacon burger instead, without any cheese. Another server had to take it back to the kitchen because Julianna had not checked back with us. When she eventually brought out a burger, it was again wrong - no cheese and with chipotle mayo, despite my partner asking for it without. We never received a visit from a manager to address the mistakes, and Julianna never took responsibility or apologized for the errors. When I asked for a cup of coffee, she simply replied, "I think we're out," and that was the end of the conversation - no coffee for me. To make matters worse, we were charged an extra $2.00 for bacon, which was not mentioned beforehand. When we brought this up with Julianna, her response was dismissive and unhelpful. Overall, the experience was inhospitable, unfriendly, and completely unacceptable. We will certainly be sharing this negative experience with others.

Great sports style bar very friendly service within minutes of walking in, good atmosphere/very busy but with space at the bar etc for walk-ins, also has a nice outside area and a balcony.Pricing is good and the beers are excellent perhaps my only issue was that the tacos were about as average as they looked, however the wings were excellent. Would certainly go back

I was actually disappointed. I loved the space! It was great, especially the outside area. However, the food and drinks were disappointing to say the least and I had a variety of food. The Mac N Cheese balls were awful. They tasted like fried noodles, no cheese flavor or seasoning. They would of been better off making a box of Kraft and frying it. The spinach dip also lacked in seasoning. The pretzel was “ok” but it was cold, along with its cheese dip. My nephew had a burger which looked to have that same Mac n Cheese patty on top which he bit into and immediately took it off. The only thing food wise that was good was their truffle fries. I ordered their house margarita and it bad as well. Super sweet, lacked tequila flavor. I found out later that they pre make their house drinks. I had them change it for a Washington apple shot — just stick to beer.
