The baristas at this Starbucks location are inexperienced compared to others. Despite being part of the Marriott, their prices are higher than standalone Starbucks stores. They also have shorter opening hours. While you can earn points on your Starbucks app, you can't redeem them at this location. It's unusual to see inconsistency at a Starbucks, but it's evident here. I suggest going to the Starbucks in the Embassy Suites across the street instead.
Fantastic coffee makers! The restaurant is situated in a lovely spot with lots of choices for where to sit.
First time coming here and wanted to stop by to change up my location from my normal Starbuck's location that I go to. I will say this place is gorgeous as it's located inside the Marriott Hotel in Downtown Tampa. It's very spacious and not so busy compared to many of the other Starbuck's locations. I will give this place three stars because I really like the ambiance of this Starbucks, however I do not like the fact that they charge you for filtered water out of a spout even if you purchase a drink and/or food item. I was told that the hotel has set this extra cost because of the expense for cups. Really? I have never been to any other Starbucks establishment that charged for water especially if you were a paying customer, and I've been to MANY Starbucks locations throughout the country. It's not a big deal but I don't think paying customers should be charged for a cup of water, just saying.
About a month ago I stopped into this Starbucks to purchase coffee for my crew and after bringing the coffee aboard my vessel I was shocked to find chunks of cream floating around in the cups, when I brought this to the attention of Starbucks I was told that fat separation in the cream was normal and that I shouldn’t be concerned, I cannot believe that anyone would want to take a drink of their coffee only to get a mouthful of what is essentially cottage cheese and be ok with it. Following this I left a Incident report with both Starbucks and the Marriott, and have yet to hear back from either party.
