Mama's Soul Food - Tampa

Eating is pretty good and reasonable price. I usually get the vegetarian dish that comes with 4 pages, rice engraving and maize bread. I can get two meals from my purchase. Parking is easy and I think it is wheelchair accessible and children are welcome. Going my place if I don't like cooking for a house cooked meal.

The first time you try food. The food was good, just what I did?t how was the potato salad. Customer service was good and also got my food fast. In any case try again, except no potato salad?.

Having spent time as a youth in the deep south on the poor side of the tracks, I know soul food. Mama's has it in spades. Small and unassuming Mama's does a booming takeout business. Call ahead and get your meal to go. Fantastic fried chicken, roasted turkey, collard greens, lima beans, corn on the cob, gizzards and rice with gravy. You order and pay before you sit if dining in. All the food is served in a take-out containers. I just keep going back when nostalgic and want a happy tummy.

Came from out of town and googled soul food spots. This place came up and I told my wife, the pictures look good let?s try it. Listen!!!!! The food is amazing! Absolutely no complaints. Everyone was friendly and it felt like I was at grandmas house after Sunday morning service.

This place is awesome!! THE FOOD IS SO GOOD! The jerk chicken was moist and the rice was tender and fluffy. The candy yams were good. My husband had the tilapia and shrimp basket and said his was just as great! We sat in silence because it was so good. I will definitely recommend to everyone!
