Kiwami Ramen Sushi - Tampa

I recently dined at Kiwami Ramen. While the presentation was visually pleasing, the taste was, unfortunately, underwhelming. The tonkatsu broth lacked seasoning and had a bland, salty flavor. The pork belly, which could have been a redeeming component, was also flat and lacked flavor. The service was adequate but did not enhance the overall dining experience. In conclusion, I would rate the dish's taste 1/5, the presentation 4/5, and the service 2/5.

Cute little ramen and sushi restaurant in Brandon. We were seated immediately however after putting our order in, it took a very long time to receive our app and main entrees. The shoyu ramen is very tasty and filling. The spicy miso ramen came out not as warm as we would like but overall tasted well and we were satiated. The restaurant does have associations with the boba store next door and you can order in the restaurant to enjoy with your meal.

I don't know if it's right for me to be rating a sushi place in Florida as a New Yorker that has been to the best spots in the city (not a flex, just trying to be fair) but in my opinion, the place was a solid meh. Honestly would have been two stars on the sushi and sashimi (they don't have uni btw) but the ramen dish another diner in my party ordered was solid. They also have a not do great selection of sake. The mural on the wall was fabulous though, as was the ambiance in general.

I’m vegetarian..and they only had two options, and a few sides that would work as well. However, the options they did have were SO good. Perfect amount of spicy!Food: 5/5

Ramen review only: the broth tasted like salt water, and the pork and egg seemed like they were not marinated in the proper mixture either. No umami flavor at all. Lots of shortcuts taken for the price we paid. Very disappointed. I can still taste salt in my mouth, quite literally, and it's hours later. I should check my blood pressure. The staff are great though, and amazing wall art with a decent atmosphere. It was empty so very quick to be seated at about 1pm.
