Worst fish I have ever had by a long chalk, and the chips were not much better. Would give it 2/10 and that's being generous. Cost £5. They seriously need to up their game. This used to be one of the best chipped in Ashton.
Excellent service, delicious fish and chips what more can be said? Eat in or takeaway I have rarely had nicer traditional fish and chips. Strongly recommend!
Good old fish and chips, not the best I have ever had but quite good. They have a cafe attached to the shop.
The food here is very cheap, and is is served very quickly. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Discussion with the waitress turned into a long litany of what was not available. No haddock, no plaice, no hake, no rag pudding, no baked beans ! . Eventually I negotiated a package that suited me and was available, namely steak and kidney pie, chips and gravy. This arrived on my plate almost as soon as I had asked for it. I have rarely been served so quickly anywhere. The food itself was, well, average, but at these prices you cannot expect the Ritz or even Grandma Pollards. It was not the worst meal I have had in a place like this, not by a country mile. In short, this is not a place to impress your clients or your best beloved, but if you want to be fed quickly and very cheaply and are not too fussy about exactly what you want, you will get good value for your money. You will also meet some friendly people.
Always love a good Fish Net. the chips are always fresh and the fish is perfectly battered in a light crispy batter. Worth a visit.
